Stark and Kyzar (2001) placed P. rickeri as a synonym of Paraleuctra projecta.

     The authors described Paraleuctra rickeri. Quote from page 255: "P. rickeri was found almost exclusively in small seeps and springs." This species was named after William (Bill) Ricker, an internationally recognized stonefly expert who worked during the mid 20th century.

     Has keys to nearctic adults of the stonefly family Leuctridae with their newly described genus Pomoleuctra as well as key to Paraleuctra and Pomoleuctra adult males.
