Alloperla Female key to species

1a. Abdomen with dorsal abdominal stripe; subgenital plate with median indentation; forewing length greater than 12 mm
1b. Abdomen concolorous; subgenital plate an even triangle; forewing length less than 10mm.

     The authors split Alloperla severa into three species A. severa, A. elevata and A. thalia. Alloperla thalia is present in Colorado so may be found in Gunnison County. Alloperla severa may not be present in Colorado so I have some revising to do on this website!
